We are pleased to announce that this fall's symposium will take place on October 28-29th on the ASU Tempe Campus.
We invite those interested in presenting to submit their titles and abstracts (of no more than 150 words) as an email attachment to azlinguistics@gmail.com. The deadline to submit abstracts is October 3rd!

This year, we'll have a special workshop led by Dr. Julia Herschensohn (from the University of Washington, Seattle) on the 7th in the morning. Although participation in the Symposium is free, we ask that ALL participants interested in attending the workshop email organizers at azlinguistics@gmail.com to inform us of your attendance as well as to let us know which languages you speak/are interested in/work on so as to make the workshop most useful to all. Please send us your intention to participate by October 30th.

This fall's AZ Linguistics Symposium will be combined with the Western Conference on Linguistics! Here is the call for papers:
We are pleased to invite abstracts for submission to the Western Conference on Linguistics/AZ Linguistics Symposium 2013 (WECOL/AZLS 2013) to be held at Arizona State University, in Tempe, AZ, Nov. 8-10, 2013.
Abstracts are invited for 20 minute talks (with 10 minutes of discussion) on any aspect of linguistics. Topics may cover formal or applied approaches to linguistics.
Submissions are limited to one individual and one joint abstract per author. All abstracts should be in English, and submitted electronically as Pdf files through EasyChair:

Abstracts should be no more than 500 words long, including examples. References are in addition to the 500 word limit. Make sure to remove any author identification in the abstract itself, as submissions should be anonymous.
